The ambitious princesses of the fallen Polygon family
Do you know the commonality between Sentient, Billions, and Katana?
They are all projects that are very closely related to the Polygon Foundation.
Polygon is an India-based foundation that consists of a team building a diverse modular blockchain ecosystem centered around Matic.
Matic, an Ethereum sidechain, was once adopted in various places as a cheap and fast EVM, but now it has become a ghost chain that no one uses, having fallen out of favor with Ethereum's shift towards L2.
Anyway, the Polygon Foundation is building various promising projects to make another big move based on the various side projects they have been developing, or rather to rise again.
@SentientAGI: An open-source AGI project founded by Sandeep Nailwal, co-founder of Polygon.
It has received over 80M in investments from Peter Thiel's Founders Fund, Pentagon, and others. It seems there isn't a specific use of blockchain technology, but they will definitely issue a token.
@billions_ntwk: A project that became independent after being incubated by Polygon Labs under Privado ID (Polygon ID).
It focuses on decentralized identity verification technology based on ZK and provides identity verification for humans and AI.
For some reason, it has been suspiciously selling mask NFTs.
@katana: A DeFi-specialized Ethereum Layer 2 blockchain incubated by Polygon Labs. Since it is DeFi-specialized, fast deposits and withdrawals are important, so it is an Optimistic L2, but it uses ZK for fraud verification to shorten withdrawal times.
Since it was incubated by Polygon, they plan to airdrop 15% of the tokens to Polygon stakers.
For those currently yapping about Kaito, the top contenders Sentient, Billions, and Katana are all "children of Polygon."
Just as Billions utilized the Polygon chain for NFT issuance and sales, I think the probability of Sentient and Billions' TGE token issuance happening on Polygon is not low.
Thus, while Polygon has essentially fallen at the mainnet level, it has sown seeds here and there, leveraging its various networking power and technological prowess, having once held the throne of modular blockchains.
(And for some reason, they are suspiciously utilizing Kaito.)

It took me a hell of a long time to just use this...
