Sentiment on the @megaeth_labs ICO is high, and rightfully so, but how does everyone know they want to participate already without knowing the valuation?
What we know so far:
- Early registration, with ICO on Sonar
- Offering in USDT
- ICO format: English auction, with a cap (TBD)
- We can guess valuation will almost certainly be higher than Fluffles round valuation (~$550M)
- 10% discount for those who opt-in to a one year lock (“oh, honey”)
- 1-year lock mandatory for USA investors
The info we are still missing:
- Auction cap (valuation)
- Aside from the one-year lock option, if there is any other cliff or unlock schedule
- Final allocation dynamics: high demand/overallocation will rely on social & on-chain reputation (👋 @ethos_network use case)
I know we are all bullish on ICOs and love Mega, but pricing still matters. A $1B vs. $3B valuation is a very different bet. For context, Arbitrum’s FDV is ~$3.3B — and if you combine that with a potential 1 year U.S. lock, it can really change how attractive the deal is.
Again — I’m bullish on the project, I love the community access direction, and I happily own two Fluffles — it just feels like my whole timeline has landed on a foregone conclusion with half the picture.
What do you guys think the auction cap will be and do you think we get any more tokenomics info before the sale? Are there any other details I’m missing that would add towards getting a more complete picture?
